While the acting bug has been in Sara for most of her life, her journey admittedly did not start until the age of thirteen, when she was cast as Amaryllis in her high school's production of The Music Man. Over the next three years, Sara would be in countless productions, being awarded three All-State Actress awards by the end of her senior year. Following high school, Sara attended Illinois State University's School of Theatre and Dance, where she majored in Acting and Film Studies, with a small independent study in dialect work and photography.

With the support of the ISU acting faculty, Sara made a gut-following decision in her third year, to take an early exit from her studies for a relocation to Los Angeles.

Shortly after Sara finished out the school year, her family was struck with the sudden loss of her brother-in-law, where she decided to cancel her plans, and instead help raise her sister's three children.

After placing her life on-hold for 3 years, Sara relocated to city of Chicago where she could still be close to her family. Sara continues to run a bakery business from her home in Chicago, and does Freelance Photography any chance she gets. She also helps mentor younger actors at the high school level, while constantly working on small film projects and theatre workshops.
